Cameras are rolling in Wales for a new six-part series adaptation of Vanessa Savage's romantic thriller, 'The Night They Vanished.' The story centers on Anna, whose life is upended after finding her childhood home flagged on a true-crime website as the location of her family's impending deaths.
Her intriguing blind date, Cai, operates the true-crime site but insists he did not post the alarming prediction. While the police consider it a hoax, Anna's family has mysteriously vanished, forcing her into a terrifying reality she desperately tried to leave behind.
The series, adapted by Angharad Elen and Hannah Daniel, is being produced by BBC Studios' new label, CliffEdge Entertainment. Channel 4 has pre-bought the drama, with a deal with a U.S. buyer reportedly close.
Cast members include Tamzin Outhwaite as Anna's stepmother, Jo, and Steffan Rhodri as her father, Idris. Additional cast members also star in the production. Callum Scott Howells, known for 'It's a Sin,' portrays Cai, while Gabrielle Creevy, who stars in Netflix's 'Black Doves,' plays Anna.
