Nicolas Cage, an acclaimed Oscar-winning actor, recently discussed the repercussions of turning down film roles. He revealed that these past decisions may have negatively affected his professional relationships with several prominent Hollywood directors.

Cage elaborated that some filmmakers tend to take personal offense when their project offers are declined. This reaction, he suggested, can subsequently limit opportunities for future collaborations within the industry.

However, Cage pointed to director David O. Russell as an exception. Russell, according to Cage, remained amenable to working together. This collaborative spirit ultimately led to Cage being cast in the forthcoming sports biopic 'Madden,' a role Cage eagerly embraced.
