Nicola Coughlan is publicly embracing her relationship with boyfriend Jake Dunn. The couple officially confirmed their romance by going Instagram official in February 2025. This was followed by their first joint red carpet appearance at the BAFTA Television & Television Craft Awards nominees party in April 2025.

Dunn, an actor who graduated from the Guildhall School for Music and Drama in 2022, has appeared in "Renegade Nell" and the film "William Tell." He and Coughlan were first spotted together in August 2024 at the All Points East festival.

Coughlan addressed persistent rumors linking her to "Bridgerton" co-star Luke Newton, clarifying in an October 2024 interview that they are merely friends. She also recalled the invasive nature of paparazzi photos from an early outing with Dunn, highlighting the violation of privacy.

The couple's relationship became more visible when they were seen on a date in London in October 2024, shortly after Dunn posted a playfully referential social media item about Coughlan. Dunn’s co-star Alice Kremelberg later shared a photo from the March 2024 premiere of "Renegade Nell" showing Coughlan with Dunn.
