Nicola Benedetti recently performed at London's Royal Albert Hall, presenting a concert that felt like a highly polished yet relaxed jam session. Joined by an unconventional ensemble of cello, guitar, and accordion, she delivered an evening of varied musical selections that delighted the audience.

The program spanned romantic salon pieces, including beautifully arranged works by von Paradis and Debussy, and traditional Scottish folk tunes. These selections highlighted Benedetti's warm tone and the ensemble's tight, responsive playing, creating an inviting atmosphere consistent with her "Violin Café" recording.

Demonstrating her formidable technique, Benedetti also tackled showstopper pieces like Wieniawski polonaises and Paganini caprices, alongside Sarasate's "Carmen Fantasy." She was joined by Emma Baird for a violin duet, reinforcing her status as a top-tier violinist.
