Pregnant Woman Guns Down Her Path in Dark Comedy

The dark comedy action road film 'Nibba Nibbi' is set to premiere on Zee5 Bangla on August 14, 2026. The movie features acclaimed Bengali actress Sauraseni Maitra in a distinctive role as Paro, a heavily pregnant woman who is also a gun-toting criminal.

Maitra's character, Paro, is on the run with her reckless partner, Deba, after they steal a hard drive containing sensitive secrets. Their escape unleashes a chaotic chase across Bengal, as depicted in the film's trailer which hints at a volatile relationship and high-octane action sequences.

Actress Sauraseni Maitra described her character as an opportunity to step out of her comfort zone, portraying someone unapologetically herself. She meticulously prepared for the role, including wearing prosthetics to simulate pregnancy, ensuring a seamless performance that focused on Paro's fearless nature rather than vulnerability.

The film also explores themes of toxic relationships, which Maitra notes are often mirrored in real life. 'Nibba Nibbi' challenges social taboos by presenting a strong female character, written from a male perspective, who does not require protection and is accepted for her true nature, making it a film that resonates with women.
