A 26-year-old NHS project manager, Rosemary Nwodoh, has successfully transitioned from a career in law to pursuing her passion for R&B and neo soul music. Working by day at Kent and Canterbury Hospital, she performs at night under her artist moniker, Chidimma. This shift began during the Covid-19 pandemic, a period that prompted her to re-evaluate her life and career choices.
Nwodoh, who also works as a voiceover artist, found herself falling out of love with her law degree. The lockdown provided the time and introspection needed to explore music more seriously. She began writing and recording songs with her brother, turning a childhood love for singing in choirs into a professional pursuit.
Her project management skills have unexpectedly aided her musical journey, assisting with the business side of her career, including booking venues and studios. Nwodoh has since released singles and an EP titled 'Love, Chidimma', performing in various locations across the country and looking forward to future musical opportunities.
