NFL Superstar Travis Kelce Reflects on Challenging SNL Hosting Experience

According to a recent news report, Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce, 36, received high praise for his hosting debut on Saturday Night Live in March 2023. Kelce's sister-in-law Kylie Kelce, 33, who is married to Kelce's brother Jason, discussed the athlete's SNL appearance on her podcast "Not Gonna Lie." Kylie told guest Maya Rudolph, 53, a former SNL cast member, that she might be "biased" but thought Kelce "did an outstanding job" as host.

Rudolph agreed, calling Kelce's performance "outstanding." The comedian explained that athletes often make great SNL hosts because "a locker room shapes you" and exposes them to "people from all walks of life." Kelce himself later joked that the hosting gig was a "fun roller coaster," as he worked late into the night to prepare and overcome the challenge of reading lines effectively.
