Author Faces Choice: Career Launch or New Love?

Maulik Pancholy, known for his acting roles, is releasing his debut young adult romance novel, "Will They, Won't They," in early 2027. The book introduces Ajit Jain, a film school hopeful from Queens, who sees an opportunity to create an exposé documentary about Zain Mansoor, a rising Bollywood star from Mumbai.

Initially intending to uncover negative aspects, Ajit finds himself developing feelings for Zain as they collaborate. This sets up a critical decision for Ajit, who must choose between advancing his career with the documentary and pursuing a budding romance with Zain, potentially a cross-continental love affair.

Pancholy expressed excitement for readers to experience Ajit and Zain's journey of self-discovery and navigating artistic pressures. The novel, set to be published by Penguin Random House's Kolika imprint, will be available on January 12, 2027.
