New Fast & Furious Coaster Drifts into Orlando 2027

Fast & Furious Supercharged at Universal Studios Florida has concluded its run, with its final day of operation being today, August 16, 2026. Originally opened in 2018, the ride celebrated the blockbuster movie franchise. While the attraction's closure was previously announced for 2027, its date was expedited.

A new Fast & Furious experience is on the horizon. Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift, an outdoor roller coaster, is slated to open in California this summer and will debut in Orlando in 2027. This new attraction will allow guests to sit in iconic movie cars and experience high-speed, 360-degree drifting maneuvers, reaching nearly 17 stories into the air.

The previous Fast & Furious Supercharged ride immersed guests in a queue styled after the family's warehouse and garage, showcasing memorable vehicles and props. The ride itself utilized 3D screens for an indoor experience simulating street chases, featuring performances from franchise actors like Vin Diesel. The Fast & Furious film saga is also gearing up for its eleventh and final movie, Fast Forever, scheduled for release in 2028, with a related TV series set to premiere on Peacock beforehand.
