Netflix has greenlit a new non-scripted dating series titled "Weight To Date." This upcoming show will focus on singles who have experienced significant weight loss and are now navigating the complexities of dating and seeking lasting love.
The format is described as a docu-series, similar in style to "Indian Matchmaking" and the critically acclaimed "Love on the Spectrum." It is expected to follow approximately ten to twelve individuals as they re-examine their identities and re-enter the dating world following their transformations.
This project marks the first sale for Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman since they became co-CEOs of The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC). The show taps into a contemporary cultural conversation, particularly relevant given the increased discussion around GLP-1 medications and their impact on weight loss.
"Weight To Date" joins a growing slate of non-scripted content for Netflix, which has recently acquired several new series. The series is executive produced by Eli Holzman, Aaron Saidman, and Jeanne Begley.
