The series is penned by Dolly Alderton, known for her work on "Everything I Know About Love."
Olivia Colman is set to portray Mrs. Bennet, while Rufus Sewell will play Mr. Bennet. The ensemble cast also includes Freya Mavor as Jane Bennet, Rhea Norwood as Lydia Bennet, Louis Partridge as Mr. Wickham, and Fiona Shaw as Lady Catherine de Bourg. Directed by Euros Lyn, known for his work on "Heartstopper," the production aims to deliver a compelling rendition of Austen's enduring novel.
The story, based on Austen's second novel, follows Elizabeth Bennet as she navigates societal expectations of marriage and encounters the proud Mr. Darcy. Their evolving relationship forms the core of the narrative, alongside the budding romance between her sister Jane and Mr. Bingley. A teaser trailer was released in February, generating anticipation for the fall premiere.
