As of September 30th, 2025, Netflix India has emerged as a standout performer at the Asian Academy Creative Awards (AACA) 2025, securing 9 National Wins (nominations) across a diverse range of categories. The streaming giant's acclaimed titles, including Black Warrant, The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan, Modern Masters - SS Rajamouli, and IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack, will now compete at the prestigious Gala Finals in Singapore this December.
Tanya Bami, Series Head at Netflix India, expressed her delight at the recognition, stating that it is a testament to the amazing work their partners bring to life together. The nominations celebrate both seasoned creators and emerging talent, showcasing the depth and breadth of Indian creativity.
Among the standout achievements is Zahan Kapoor's nomination for Best Actor for his performance in Black Warrant, which also received multiple nominations in categories such as Best Editing, Best Sound, Best Cinematography, and Best Screenplay. Applause Entertainment MD, Sameer Nair, celebrated the success, noting that Black Warrant secured the most National Wins this year.
Additionally, Chandradev Bhagat, the director and producer of The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan, called the recognition for Best Documentary (Series) "truly special," crediting the players, fans, and the game itself.
This strong presence at the AACA 2025 follows Netflix India's impressive showing in the previous year, which saw nominations for titles like Amar Singh Chamkila, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, The Railway Men, and The Hunt For Veerappan.
