Co-CEO Greg Peters highlighted the new São Paulo office as a natural progression, emphasizing Netflix's role as a supportive partner to Brazil's creative community. The company's investment in "The Secret Agent" includes funding and pre-licensing for Brazil. "The Secret Agent" received four Academy Award nominations.
The new office, located in São Paulo's Pinheiros district, is purpose-built for almost 300 employees and represents a significant injection of $25 million into the local economy, creating over 2,000 jobs during its construction. Netflix has seen a 60% surge in viewership for its Brazilian titles between July and December 2025.
Netflix has actively ramped up production in Brazil, partnering with over 40 local production companies in the past three years, generating 12,000 jobs from productions released in 2025. The company is set to launch several new Brazilian productions, including series and films addressing diverse themes and genres, further cementing its dedication to showcasing Brazilian stories.
