- The series stars Sam Worthington and Milo Ventimiglia in a prison escape plot.

StoryMath, a new venture co-founded by Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt, is developing an English-language adaptation of Harlan Coben's 2005 novel, 'The Innocent.' This marks a significant development as it will be the first Coben series to be greenlit from the United States, diverging from previous productions based in the UK. The adaptation is set for release on Netflix.
The series, currently in post-production, stars Sam Worthington as an innocent father serving a life sentence for his son's murder. He receives compelling evidence suggesting his child might still be alive, prompting a prison escape to uncover the truth. The cast also includes Britt Lower, Milo Ventimiglia, Erin Richards, Logan Browning, Jonathan Tucker, and Chi McBride.
Lilien and Wynbrandt previously collaborated on CBS's 'God Friended Me.' Their new production company, StoryMath, will also handle the U.S. adaptation of 'The Innocent,' which was previously adapted by Netflix into a Spanish-language series in 2021. The production company is represented by Range and CAA.
