8 Dec
Summary
- Netflix acquired rights for Emily Giffin's novel 'All We Ever Wanted'.
- Jessica Goldberg to serve as showrunner for the adaptation.
- Reese Witherspoon and Harlan Coben are executive producers.

Netflix is developing a new series based on Emily Giffin's novel, "All We Ever Wanted." The project promises a soapy and scandalous drama that delves into the secrets and class divides within an affluent suburban setting. The narrative will center on a torrid love affair between a wealthy mother and a single father from a less privileged background, threatening to expose the hidden wrongdoings of those around them.
Jessica Goldberg, known for her work on "Away" and "Parenthood," is attached as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. The series also boasts an impressive producing team, including Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine, Harlan Coben for Final Twist Productions, and Nicola Shindler for Quay Street Productions.
This adaptation marks a reunion for Witherspoon and Coben, who previously collaborated on the bestselling novel "Gone Before Goodbye." While Netflix has worked with each of them separately on numerous projects, "All We Ever Wanted" is their first joint series adaptation. Coben, in particular, has a prolific history with Netflix, with eleven of his books already adapted for the streamer.
