Nelly Furtado has ignited excitement among her fans by teasing new music on Instagram. The Canadian singer-songwriter shared a video from a studio session with producer Boi-1da, hinting at an upcoming release. She captioned the post, 'New muuuusic! Excited to share this...' and specifically teased, 'Electric Circus out April 10!'
This announcement comes after Furtado stated in October that she was quitting stage shows, citing body shaming attacks. Despite stepping away from live performances, she assured fans she would 'always be writing music.' The 47-year-old artist was recently honored with the 2026 Trailblazer Award by the Women's College Hospital Foundation on March 24, an organization that advances health equity in Canada.
In February 2025, Furtado also shared a candid message about body neutrality and self-love, emphasizing her natural appearance and detailing her skincare and beauty routines. She also highlighted the transformative power of makeup and styling for red carpet events.
