Singer Neha Kakkar Defends Auto-Tune & Sob Stories

Singer Neha Kakkar, currently judging I-Popstar Vol 2, has defended common criticisms leveled against singing reality shows. She argued that auto-tune is a standard enhancement used by nearly all singers, likening it to filters used for social media photographs, and stated that contestants perform live before their performances are enhanced in post-production.

Kakkar also responded to critiques of her emotional nature, explaining her empathy arises from her own challenging life experiences. She acknowledged that some social media users engage in 'rage-baiting' for views. She further addressed trolling of her music, suggesting that humorous, catchy songs generate more discussion than her well-crafted ballads.

While accustomed to criticism of her music, Kakkar expressed distress over personal life speculation, such as pregnancy rumors or divorce allegations. She clarified her relationship with husband Rohanpreet Singh is strong and based on friendship, celebrating their upcoming seven-year milestone together and humorously noting that friendships don't have children.
