Singer Neeraj Shridhar recently took center stage at Vivekananda College's annual fest, Pallavi, captivating a large audience of Delhi University students. The event was filled with a palpable sense of nostalgia as attendees grooved to popular songs from the 2000s and 2010s, long before the performance even began.
Backed by a live band and featuring Gorisha Nath on lead vocals, Shridhar delivered an electrifying set. He shared an anecdote about his hit song, 'Love Mera Hit Hit,' from the 2009 film Billu, revealing that it was Shah Rukh Khan who prompted him to incorporate a Punjabi line. Shridhar recounted the creative process at Khan's residence, where the suggestion led to the song's infectious appeal.
The singer also performed 'Chor Bazaari' from the 2009 movie Love Aaj Kal, a track that reportedly held the number one spot for 11 months. Shridhar admitted initial reluctance about the song's slightly 'desi' vibe but ultimately enjoyed its success and connection with the audience.
