Special Agent Ellie Bishop, portrayed by Emily Wickersham, has made a surprise return to NCIS after an absence of nearly five years. Her reappearance, initially revealed in the midseason finale, left former partner Nick Torres in a precarious situation. The upcoming episode, titled "Her," will delve into the complexities of Bishop's return.
Wickersham expressed excitement about reprising her role as Bishop, noting the character has "more baggage and added complexity" after living a new life. Bishop's return is particularly impactful as she is now designated a cyber-terrorist and is tasked with hunting down and arresting her former colleagues.
Bishop abruptly left NCIS five years ago, initially appearing disgraced after leaking NSA documents. However, she later confessed to Torres that her departure was part of a covert CIA mission. The episode "Her" will see Bishop confiding in Torres, facing him for the first time since her departure.
NCIS, featuring Wickersham's return, is scheduled to air on March 3 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS and will be available for streaming on Paramount+.
