NBCUniversal is actively seeking the next generation of unscripted television talent through its annual Unscripted Pitch Accelerator program. This initiative, part of NBCUniversal's comprehensive inclusion efforts, provides an opportunity for independent creators and producers to pitch their original concepts directly to network executives.
The program invites submissions across a wide array of genres, including competition formats, docu-soaps, and true-crime series. The goal is to identify fresh, franchise-ready ideas that can join NBCUniversal's legacy of defining unscripted content.
Five standout pitches will be awarded a development deal, complete with dedicated support from Universal Television Alternative Studio to prepare their concepts for consideration on NBC, Bravo, or Peacock. The submission window is open from May 18 to June 14 via the NBCU Launch website.
This accelerator builds on NBCU Launch's past successes, such as the Unscripted Producers Initiative, which has supported numerous producers and production assistants across successful NBCUniversal series like "The Real Housewives" franchise and "Love Island USA."
