NBC has decided to cancel the mockumentary comedy series "Stumble" after a single season. The network's decision was made less than two months after the show aired its season finale on March 13, which will now serve as the series finale.
"Stumble" premiered on NBC's Friday night schedule in November. The series starred Jenn Lyon as Courteney Potter, a competitive cheerleading coach. After being fired from her previous position, she took on the role of coach for the Heådltston State Junior College's squad, aiming to lead them to a national championship.
In the season finale, the Heådltston State Buttons competed at the national championship in Daytona, Florida, ultimately securing third place. The episode concluded with Courteney discovering that her former coach, Marg Hargberg, portrayed by guest star Katey Sagal, was coming out of retirement to coach a rival team.
