Basketball enthusiasts on PlayStation can now experience NBA The Run, an arcade-style hoops game from Play by Play Studios. A free beta is available on PS5 this weekend, offering players a preview before the full launch on June 9. The game will be priced at $29.99 for PS5.

Central to NBA The Run are the 'Street Legends,' original characters with distinct strengths and weaknesses. Each legend boasts three elite skills but significant drawbacks, creating high-risk, high-reward gameplay. Examples include Spin Cycle, a Philadelphia native with elite handles but shaky finishing, and Shen Tong, a young phenom from China skilled in passing but weak defensively.
