Nayanthara, Kavin's 'Hi' & Suriya's 'Vishwanath' Duel

Nayanthara and Kavin's Tamil romantic drama, "Hi," is slated for theatrical release on August 14. This date positions the film for a direct box-office confrontation with Suriya's "Vishwanath and Sons." The film marks the directorial debut of Vishnu Edavan, who has previously gained recognition for writing popular song lyrics.

While specific plot details remain undisclosed, promotional materials including a teaser and posters indicate that "Hi" centers on the developing feelings between two neighboring characters. The narrative appears to be a light-hearted romantic drama, highlighting the chemistry between Nayanthara and Kavin.

The movie features a wide array of supporting actors such as Bhagyaraj, Radikaa Sarathkumar, and Prabhu. Music for "Hi" is composed by Jen Martin, with cinematography handled by Rajesh Shukla. The film is a production of Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan's Rowdy Pictures, in collaboration with Seven Screen Studio and Zee Studios.

The August 14 release date makes the Independence Day weekend a crucial period for both "Hi" and "Vishwanath and Sons," intensifying the competition between these two major Tamil film releases.
