Painter recalled the immense pressure of their initial meeting, needing to impress Siddiqui, who has a vast acting repertoire. Siddiqui's participation involved script contributions and a shared vision for preserving theatre's authentic feel, rejecting LED backdrops for actual sets. He also actively supported his daughter's development.
Shora, who studied in American and London schools, worked diligently to improve her Hindi for the role, as it was a challenge for her. Nawazuddin Siddiqui, after approximately ten readings, was ready for the play. However, he committed to around 90 run-throughs to aid his daughter's preparation and integration into the production.
