Nathan Fillion's Guy Gardner Joins Animated Mister Miracle

Nathan Fillion will reprise his role as Guy Gardner in the forthcoming animated series "Mister Miracle." Showrunner Tom King confirmed Fillion's casting for the project, noting the actor's consistent energy across DC Studios productions. Fillion has previously appeared as Guy Gardner in live-action and is also slated for "Lanterns."

The "Mister Miracle" animated series is based on Tom King's 12-issue comic series. It chronicles the escape artist Scott Free, also known as Mister Miracle, and his warrior wife Big Barda. They face a war between Apocalypse and New Genesis, complicated by Scott's adoptive father Darkseid.

Darkseid's pursuit of the Anti-Life Equation poses a universal threat. Scott fears its influence may be affecting his own mind, blurring his reality and shattering his happiness. The series will explore his "harrowing, hilarious, heart-wrenching journey" as he attempts to save his family and himself.

King, who is writing every episode, emphasized that "Mister Miracle" is a DCU show with significant implications for the wider universe. While Fillion's casting is the first official announcement, King and James Gunn aim for actor consistency between live-action and animation roles.
