Summary
- Natanya blends neosoul, R&B, indie, and grunge with unique production.
- Her music is influenced by diverse genres and her parents' musical backgrounds.
- Cosigns from SZA and Tyler, the Creator highlight her rising profile.

Natanya, a burgeoning artist from north-west London, is making waves by deconstructing and rebuilding musical genres. Her sound artfully combines neosoul, R&B, indie, and grunge elements, characterized by a dynamic interplay of loose drums, heavy 808s, drifting synths, and gritty guitar riffs. Her vocal style, a buttery falsetto, draws comparisons to icons like Aaliyah and Amy Winehouse.
Born to a Nigerian father influenced by Motown and gospel, and a Trinidadian-Indian mother who favored calypso and funk, Natanya's musical foundation is eclectic. She began classical piano at four and absorbed influences from church bands, online discoveries, and late-night bedroom productions. Her 2023 debut EP, Sorrow at Sunrise, offered raw heartbreak over experimental production, followed by the bolder pop and soulful depth of her 2025 releases, Feline's Return and its Act II extension.
Natanya's distinct artistic vision has garnered attention from industry heavyweights like SZA, Tyler, the Creator, Doechii, and Janet Jackson. As she carves out her unique niche, her dedicated fanbase, known as 'the felines,' remains captivated. Following a planned short break to reset for the remainder of 2026, Natanya is poised to continue her ascent.
