The 12-day Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav 2025 began on a spectacular note on November 3rd in Nagpur, India. The festival's opening ceremony was graced by several dignitaries, including Union minister Nitin Gadkari and guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
The inaugural event featured a captivating performance of veteran actor Ashutosh Rana's mythological play, "Hamare Ram," directed by Gaurav Bhardwaj. The play offered a fresh and emotionally charged interpretation of the Ramayana, exploring the epic through the eyes of Lord Ram's sons, Luv and Kush.
Instead of following the traditional narrative of Lord Ram's journey, the play delved into the complex themes of dharma, pride, and devotion. Rana's powerful portrayal of Ravan, accompanied by thunderous chants and Kailash Kher's haunting score, was a highlight of the production. The ensemble cast, including Rahull Bhuchar as Lord Ram and Harleen Kaur Rekhi as Sita, delivered nuanced performances that added depth to the story.
Filmmaker Chandraprakash Dwivedi, creator of the iconic TV series "Chanakya," praised the Mahotsav's blend of spirituality and culture, calling "Hamare Ram" a shining example of that balance. Guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule noted that the festival has evolved into a national platform, attracting over 2 crore online views.
As the Mahotsav continues, audiences can look forward to a diverse lineup of events, including live concerts, fusion performances, and morning sessions focused on spirituality and devotion.
