Classical music lovers in Nagpur are invited to the third Pt. Mahadeorao Khadse Smruti Sangeet Samaroh on March 15. This event is dedicated to the memory of the esteemed shehnai exponent, Pt. Mahadeorao Khadse.
The evening will feature a captivating sitar-santoor duet by the Wahane sisters, Sanskrati and Prakrati. As disciples of Dr. Lokesh Wahane and Ustad Shahid Parvez Khan, their performance promises a rich auditory experience by merging the deep tones of the sitar with the delicate sounds of the santoor.
Further honoring the musical heritage, Nikhil Khadse, a Nagpur-based artiste, will present a solo shehnai recital. He carries forward the musical lineage associated with the Khadse family, with tabla accompaniment by Ram Khadse. The event is presented by NaadChakra Sanstha in collaboration with the Chitnavis Centre for Culture and Human Resource Development.
This special tribute concert will take place at Banyan Hall in Civil Lines, and admission is free for all attendees. Several notable personalities from the music fraternity are expected to grace the occasion.
