In the upcoming Diwali season, the city of Nagpur will witness a unique celebration of Maharashtra's rich history and cultural heritage. The Shivkalin Kille Competition 2025, conceptualized by MLA Pravin Datke, is set to showcase the state's iconic fort architecture and legacy.
Organized in collaboration with the Durga Jagriti Kille Competition Organising Committee, the event is open to participants of all age groups. The competition will be held in three categories: Open, Primary School (Classes 1-5), and Secondary School (Classes 6-Degree level). The open category offers cash prizes of ₹21,000, ₹17,000, and ₹15,000, while the school groups will receive ₹15,000, ₹13,000, and ₹11,000 for the top three winners.
The initiative aims to engage citizens in preserving the enduring legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the revered Maratha ruler, through the creation of artistic models of the state's renowned forts. The organizing team, comprising individuals such as Nirja Patil, Avinash Adkulwar, and Vishal Devkar, is dedicated to bringing together art, culture, and history in a creative celebration of Maharashtra's heritage.
