Nagarjuna Marks 40 Years in Film, Annapurna Studios Turns 50

As of September 2025, veteran Telugu actor Nagarjuna is celebrating two major milestones in his career and family legacy. The actor is on the verge of clocking 40 years in the film industry, having made a mark with acclaimed films like Shiva, Criminal, Manam, and Soggade Chinni Nayana. Concurrently, Nagarjuna's family-owned Annapurna Studios, envisioned by his legendary father Akkineni Nageswara Rao, has turned 50 years old.

Reflecting on his career, Nagarjuna says he is now focused on simply enjoying the work that comes his way, rather than chasing box office numbers as he did earlier in his career. He has adapted to the industry's massive technological shifts, from cassettes to smartphones, and believes staying relevant requires embracing change. Nagarjuna also shares a warm bond with his daughter-in-law Sobhita Dhulipala, bonding over shared interests like music, books, and gardening.

Despite his decades-long success, Nagarjuna remains super fit and disciplined, crediting his daily fitness routine. He is proud to see the third generation of his family, including sons Naga Chaitanya and Akhil Akkineni, taking charge of Annapurna Studios and exploring newer technologies. Nagarjuna is hopeful they will continue the family's cherished legacy in the film industry.
