French-Moroccan director Nabil Ayouch is preparing his next film, a psychological thriller titled "Run, With No Tears." The movie will star prominent actresses Noomi Rapace and Maryam Touzani, with principal photography scheduled to begin in September. The narrative centers on two women who travel to Morocco with the intention of adopting a baby from another woman. The script was collaboratively penned by Maryam Touzani, known for her award-winning film "Calle Malaga," and Nabil Ayouch.
"Run, With No Tears" is produced by a consortium of European and North African companies, including Les Films du Nouveau Monde (France), Ali n' Productions (Morocco), Rainy Days (Sweden), Velvet Films (Belgium), and Staer (Norway). The project has garnered support from various film institutes and entities, including the CCM, the Belgian Tax Shelter, and the Swedish Film Institute.
International sales for "Run, With No Tears" are being managed by Films Boutique, with distribution rights secured by Le Pacte in France, Cinéart in Belgium, and TriArt in the Nordic countries. This film marks Ayouch's latest directorial effort following his previous works, including "Everybody Loves Touda" and "Casablanca Beat."
