On the evening of October 2nd, 2025, Mysuru's Dasara festivities came to a close with a spectacular display of equestrian skills, drone technology, and cultural performances. The highlight of the event was a thrilling horse show at the Banni Mantap Grounds, where the mounted police demonstrated their expertise in galloping, cantering, and trotting to rhythmic music. The cavalry, led by SD Sasanur and Rudrappa, wowed the crowd with daring stunts, including piercing flaming targets, leaping through rings of fire, and clearing towering obstacles at speeds of up to 60 km/h.
As night fell, the skies above Mysuru were illuminated by a stunning drone display. Over 3,000 CESK-operated drones formed a mesmerizing array of images, including the solar system, the Indian map, and portraits of the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. The 18-minute show, which began near St Philomena's College, captivated the audience with its precision and creativity.
The grand finale of the Dasara celebrations was the torchlight parade, featuring 300 police trainees holding 600 torches and creating beautiful formations, including words like "Welcome," "Jai Chamundi," and "Salutations to the Farmer." The parade also included two cavalry units, KSRP contingents, NCC cadets, and various other marching units, accompanied by the police band and cultural performances such as a 400-performer drum show.
