Musician Dad Fights to Keep Family Together in Animated Dream Adventure

In the animated film 'In Your Dreams', Simu Liu plays Michael Ting, a struggling solo musician still holding onto the glory days he once shared with his former bandmate and wife, Jennifer (Cristin Milioti). Their indie folk band, The Hypsonics, had a hit album 12 years ago, but their music career stalled when Jennifer became pregnant with their now 12-year-old daughter, Stevie.

The Ting family is now on the brink of splitting apart as Jennifer wants to accept a teaching position and uproot the family, against Michael's wishes. Stevie and her younger brother, Elliot, decide to journey into their dreams to find the Sandman (Omid Djalili) and convince him to help preserve their family.
