The Rock 'n' Roller Coaster at Disney World is set to reopen with a significant Muppet-themed transformation. Walt Disney Imagineering has introduced the world's first audio-animatronic Muppets within the attraction's queue, bringing characters like Scooter to life using advanced motion-capture technology.
Guests embarking on a VIP tour will encounter Scooter trying to hurry The Electric Mayhem band to their concert. Audio-animatronic penguins also assist behind the soundboard, adding to the immersive experience. The ride's exterior has also been refreshed, and the adjacent shop, Rock Around the Shop, will offer new merchandise.
New culinary offerings are also part of the update, with FØØD by Swedish Chef serving Electric Mayhem-inspired treats. The ride's soundtrack now includes five song selections, featuring collaborations with artists like Kelly Clarkson and Jennifer Hudson, alongside musical guests such as Def Leppard. Hidden celebrity cameos from stars like Neil Patrick Harris and Wayne Brady enhance the queue experience.
