Lee Cronin's "The Mummy" is set to stream on HBO Max starting July 3, following its theatrical debut on April 17. The premium cable channel HBO will also premiere the film on July 4 at 8 p.m. EDT.
The film introduces a chilling narrative about a family confronting the reappearance of a daughter lost for eight years in the harsh desert. The ensemble cast features notable actors such as Jack Reynor, Laia Costa, May Calamawy, Natalie Grace, and Veronica Falcón. Jason Blum of Blumhouse and James Wan of Atomic Monster are among the producers, with Cronin also serving as an executive producer.
This project marks Cronin's latest directorial effort, following his work on "Evil Dead Rise" in 2023 and his debut feature, "The Hole in the Ground," which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2019. The film's release continues the trend of successful summer horror features.
