Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently inaugurated a public art installation titled 'Solar in Full Bloom' at the Juhu Garden junction in Mumbai. The series features eight unique sculptures, comprising four Solar Trees and four Solar Flowers, designed by artist Sangeeta Babani.
This collaborative project with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's H-West Ward integrates public art with solar-powered sustainability. Kher, a longtime resident of the area, emphasized the importance of art for the soul, stating it provides beauty for both the eyes and the spirit. Maharashtra's Minister for Information Technology and Cultural Affairs, Ashish Shelar, lauded the initiative as a joint endeavor by citizens, authorities, and creative minds.
Babani's installations are inspired by natural forms and powered by the sun, intended to spark conversations about sustainability. The sculptures serve as a visual reminder of renewable energy's role in creating greener cities, celebrating the connection between nature and clean energy.
