Mrunal Thakur's 'Pooja Meri Jaan' Gets 'A' Rating

Mrunal Thakur is set to conclude 2026 with the release of 'Pooja Meri Jaan' on Zee5 next Friday, October 2. This courtroom drama-thriller has received an 'A' certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), making it Thakur's second film with an adult rating after 'Love Sonia' in 2018. The film, which also stars Huma Qureshi and Vikram Singh Chauhan, has a runtime of 1 hour, 57 minutes, and 32 seconds.

In a separate development, the makers of 'The Vvaan' were issued two censor certificates. Initially passed without cuts, the CBFC later provided a fresh certificate to include mentions of Audio Description (AD) and Closed/Open Captions (CC/OC) as per accessibility guidelines. This instance of a film receiving two certificates with separate serial numbers is considered rare, though the film's runtime remained unchanged. CBFC chairperson Shashi Shekhar Vempati described it as a 'technical correction to the same Certificate.'
