Morgan Spector, known for his role in HBO's 'The Gilded Age,' is reportedly in negotiations to headline Netflix's upcoming series adaptation of Dan Brown's novel, 'The Secret of Secrets.' He is set to portray the iconic symbologist Robert Langdon, a role previously filled by Tom Hanks in film adaptations.
Rebecca Hall is also in discussions to join the series as the female lead, playing Katherine Solomon, a scientist whose groundbreaking manuscript holds the key to understanding the mind. The plot involves Langdon's race against time and ancient forces to rescue Solomon and her work.
Should 'The Gilded Age' be renewed for a fifth season, Spector would reportedly be able to balance both roles with proper scheduling. The series is co-created, written, and executive produced by Dan Brown and Carlton Cuse, who also serves as showrunner.
Filming is scheduled to begin this fall in Prague, the city where the novel is set. 'The Secret of Secrets' is the sixth installment in Dan Brown's Robert Langdon series. The franchise has achieved significant global success, with over 250 million copies of Brown's novels sold worldwide.
