Actress Moon Choi has secured new management with Cognition, a move that follows the acclaimed debut of her film "Bedford Park" at Sundance. The drama, for which Choi served as lead actress and executive producer, earned a U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for Debut Feature and was subsequently acquired by Sony Pictures Classics for North American distribution.
Choi gained significant recognition for her portrayal of Fumiko Kaneko in the historical drama "Anarchist from Colony." Her performance in this role garnered her multiple awards, including Best New Actress and Best Actress at the Grand Bell Awards, often considered Korea's equivalent to the Academy Awards. Further accolades include being named Actress of the Year at the Busan Film Festival for her work in "Our Body."
Currently, Choi is engaged in filming "The Cherry Orchard," a Korean adaptation of Anton Chekhov's classic play. She stars in this production alongside acclaimed actors Jean Do-Yeon and Park Hae-Soo. In addition to her new management deal with Cognition, Choi recently engaged Narrative for publicity services.
