The 2026 Montclair Film Festival is set to celebrate its 15th anniversary with an impressive slate of films. The event will commence with Martin McDonagh's 'Wild Horse Nine,' starring John Malkovich and Sam Rockwell, which will be released on November 6. The festival will conclude with Tony Gilroy's 'Behemoth!,' featuring Pedro Pascal, slated for a December 4 release.
The festival has also unveiled its centerpiece selections for animation, documentary, and fiction. Brad Bird's animated feature 'Ray Gunn' will screen as the animation centerpiece, with a release on Netflix on December 18. The fiction centerpiece will be Simon Stone's 'Elsinore,' starring Andrew Scott, set for release on November 20.
Rounding out the key selections is Ava DuVernay's '14th,' which will be presented as the documentary centerpiece. This film is scheduled for release in select theaters by Netflix on November 27. Montclair Film artistic director Tom Hall expressed excitement for the anniversary year, highlighting the festival's role in forging connections within the cinematic community.
