A new Netflix courtroom drama focusing on the chemical company Monsanto has added several notable actors to its cast. LaKeith Stanfield, Julia McDermott, David Duchovny, Melonie Diaz, Bilal Hasna, and Greg Kinnear are now attached to the project. John Lee Hancock is directing the untitled film.
The movie is based on the real-life case of Brent Wisner, a young attorney who took on Monsanto. Wisner represented Dewayne "Lee" Johnson, who claimed to have developed non-Hodgkin lymphoma due to exposure to Monsanto's Roundup pesticide during his job as a groundskeeper.
Production is currently underway for the film, which features Laura Dern in a previously announced role. Hancock co-wrote the script with Michael Wisner, Alexandra Duparc, and Ned Benson. Several producers are also involved, including Adam McKay.
