Mona Singh expressed deep pride and support for her long-time friend and former co-star Gaurav Gera's impactful performance in Aditya Dhar's spy thriller, 'Dhurandhar'. Singh, who starred alongside Gera in the beloved daily soap "Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin" (2003-2006), described his success as a personal triumph.
Gera essayed the role of Mohammad Aalam, an Indian spy working undercover as a juice vendor in Karachi, Pakistan. His character played a crucial part in assisting Ranveer Singh's character to infiltrate a criminal gang led by Akshaye Khanna's.
Singh cautioned Gera against revealing too much about his character's transformation, drawing from her own experiences with strict non-disclosure agreements during "Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin." She emphasized respecting the craft and the secrecy surrounding such projects.
"Dhurandhar," released in two parts in 2025 and March 2026, has achieved significant box office success. The first part garnered over Rs 1000 crore globally, while "Dhurandhar: The Revenge" earned more than Rs 1300 crore worldwide.
The film also features a star-studded cast including Sara Arjun, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Rakesh Bedi. It was released across India in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages.
