Mohanlal's Hridayapoorvam Becomes Fourth-Highest Grossing Malayalam Film Worldwide

As of September 26th, 2025, Mohanlal's latest release Hridayapoorvam has proven to be a box office success, churning out profits and inching towards new milestones. The film, which faced a tough clash with the superhero movie Lokah: Chapter 1 - Chandra, has managed to hold its ground strongly and has now become the fourth-highest-grossing Malayalam film at the worldwide box office.

After 29 days of its release, Hridayapoorvam has amassed a total net collection of ₹39.91 crore in India and a gross collection of ₹76.34 crore globally. Mounted on a budget of ₹30 crore, the film has managed to generate a profit of 33%, which is just a little behind the tenth most profitable Malayalam film of 2025.

To become the tenth most profitable Malayalam film of the year, Hridayapoorvam needs to earn a total of ₹42.73 crore, and it is currently just ₹2.82 crore away from achieving this milestone. The top spot at the worldwide box office for Malayalam films is currently held by Lokah Chapter 1, followed by L2: Empuraan and Mohanlal's own Thudarum.
