Filming for Mohanlal's upcoming movie, 'Athimanoharam,' has been permitted at the sacred Sabarimala pilgrimage site. Directed by Tharun Moorthy, the production will shoot significant portions of its second schedule at the revered location.
The Travancore Devaswom Board has granted approval, stipulating that the film must not negatively portray Sabarimala or its religious beliefs. This crucial filming period is expected to form a major part of the movie.
Approximately 80% of 'Athimanoharam' is already complete, with principal photography having taken place in Thodupuzha and Kochi. Future shooting locations include Thodupuzha, Kochi, Sabarimala, Hyderabad, and Mumbai.
The film, which reportedly follows a police Sub-Inspector's personal and professional challenges, is set to release worldwide on December 24. Meera Jasmine plays the female lead.
