Mohanlal's 100th Film: No Singing for Superstar!

Director Priyadarshan is set to commence his 100th film, a significant project reuniting him with actor Mohanlal after a considerable interval. This upcoming movie is envisioned as a musical drama, delving into the complex relationship between a father and son, both of whom are Carnatic singers. Priyadarshan confirmed that filming is scheduled to begin in November. He described the project as a complicated musical with 12 songs, action, and a family drama at its core. Notably, Mohanlal, who has sung in films previously, will not be performing classical singing in this particular venture due to the demanding nature of the genre. The search is on for a suitable actor to portray the father figure, a role that requires expertise in Carnatic, Hindustani music, and Kathakali.
