Superstar Mohanlal's involvement in the climactic car sequence of Rajinikanth's 'Jailer 2' has been confirmed by action director Chethan. Responding to fan inquiries on Instagram, Chethan affirmed that Mohanlal personally executed the stunt, dispelling rumors of a body double being used. This clarification addresses a key point of fan discussion surrounding the film's action sequences and Mohanlal's presence.
However, debates persist regarding Mohanlal's limited screen time. Jishad Shamsudeen, Mohanlal's stylist, publicly voiced his dissatisfaction, stating that several designed looks and scenes featuring the actor were ultimately excluded from the final cut. He expressed disappointment over the reduction of screen time for an actor of Mohanlal's caliber and indicated his reluctance to participate in any potential sequel.
Meanwhile, 'Jailer 2' continues its impressive theatrical run. The film has achieved significant box office success, with its worldwide gross collection reportedly exceeding ₹477.75 crore. This strong performance positions the action-packed sequel favorably against other notable Tamil film releases.
