Newlyweds Vanish on Wedding Night!

A newly married couple, Marudhu and Muthuselvi, have disappeared on their wedding night, setting off a frantic search across their village. Marudhu, having been convinced into the marriage, discovers Muthuselvi's true affections lie elsewhere and agrees to help her escape. He escorts her away with a philosopher, while back home, an uncle's decree that answering one's wife is beneath a man's dignity fuels gossip and a drunken brawl among the villagers.

The bride's lover, played by the debutant director, struggles with a poorly performing escape vehicle and unsupportive friends during his hurried flight. The couple's panicked calls reveal a lack of a coherent plan, contrasting sharply with Marudhu's calm demeanor. The film satirizes rural traditions and the generational gap in attitudes.

One poignant scene reveals Muthuselvi's lifelong suppressed aspirations, including a denied opportunity to pursue long jump and a career as a police officer, which Marudhu listens to sympathetically. The acting features Rishikanth as the unhurried groom, Anishma Anilkumar as the bride, and Bagavathi Perumal as the irritating uncle.
