In November 2025, former 'Modern Family' co-stars Sarah Hyland and Jesse Ferguson reunited backstage after a performance of Hyland's Broadway show, 'Just in Time'. Ferguson, who played Hyland's uncle Mitchell Pritchett on the sitcom, took to Instagram to share a series of photos of the two together, celebrating Hyland's success.
Hyland, 34, currently stars as Connie Francis in the Broadway production, with actor Jonathan Groff playing her co-star. Ferguson, 50, expressed his pride in Hyland and the entire company, writing that they "blew the roof off" the theater. The photos show the pair sharing a sweet embrace, as well as Ferguson standing next to a large poster of Hyland for the show.
The two actors have remained close since 'Modern Family' aired its series finale in April 2020. Hyland has gone on to perform in several musicals, with Ferguson showing his support along the way. In 2024, the pair celebrated Hyland's role in the off-Broadway production of 'Little Shop of Horrors'.
Despite the show's conclusion, Hyland has expressed her desire for a potential 'Modern Family' reboot, saying she would "love to be back with everybody" from the beloved sitcom.
