Miss World Fest: Hai Phong Shines Bright

The 73rd Miss World pageant series at the Dragon Ocean Do Son International Tourist Area officially concluded on August 20, 2026. This event served as a significant catalyst for Hai Phong's tourism industry, presenting a modern and culturally rich Vietnam to an international audience. The Dragon Ocean Do Son venue demonstrated impressive operational capabilities, hosting nearly 120 contestants, the Miss World Organization, and extensive press delegations.

Experiential activities on August 14 and 15 offered delegates a multifaceted view of Hai Phong. These included a golf exhibition at Dragon Golf Links, mangrove tree planting at Dragon Mangrove Forest, and a visit to the mythical-themed Legend Park. Contestants also engaged with local culture through activities like crab catching and hand-painting national flags on conical hats.

The pageant also featured several competition segments. The Press Conference & Sash Ceremony occurred on August 13 at Dream Dragon Resort. The Head Chef Beauty challenge on August 17 saw contestants fuse international techniques with Vietnamese ingredients, with Vietnam's delegate winning for her Lotus Stem Salad. The Vietnam Beauty Fashion Fest (VBFF) XVI took place on August 18 at Dragon Beach Square, a large-scale fashion spectacle. The Miss Sport challenge on August 19 tested delegates' athletic abilities with a track run and aquatic challenges, concluding the Hai Phong segment on a high note.
