Actress Miss Benny has been cast in Jordan Firstman's directorial debut feature, "Club Kid." Benny, widely recognized for her role in Netflix's "Glamorous," will star alongside previously announced cast members Cara Delevingne and Diego Calva. Firstman also penned the script for the film, which centers on a down-on-his-luck party promoter whose life takes an unforeseen turn when he must care for a son he never knew he had.
The Tropics Studios production recently concluded filming and represents a key project for producer Alex Coco, following his success with the Oscar-winning "Anora." "Club Kid" was lensed on 35mm film by Emmy-winning cinematographer Adam Newport Berra, promising a distinctive visual aesthetic. Miss Benny's prior acting credits include "Fuller House," "Love, Victor," and "American Horror Story."
"Club Kid" is produced by Alex Coco and Galen Core, with Jordan Firstman, Olmo Schnabel, and Daniela Taplin serving as executive producers. Topic financed the film, with Stay Gold acting as co-financier. UTA Independent Film Group is managing worldwide sales for the project.
